Here's what a map looks like:
The colored countries on the map correspond to the ones that were visited.
On the map, you can see two types of markers:
Travel markers, representing a trip made by the map creator:
The numbered markers shown below represent groups of trips, called clusters. These make the map more readable. The number displayed on the marker corresponds to the number of trips grouped at that location.
Below each travel marker, a label shows the name of the trip given by the map creator.
By clicking on a marker that includes stops, you can view the trip details. These stops can be different cities visited or multiple places within the same city. This detail view allows you to follow the traveler's journey by viewing the photos linked to each step — and even between steps.
To view the photos, simply hover over the markers and click on the images.
When viewing photos, they appear in a carousel. You can enlarge an image by clicking on it, go to the next by clicking right (1), or back by clicking left (2). You can also start an automatic slideshow by clicking the "Play" button at the top of the screen (3). You can enable fullscreen mode (4) and display the photo list at the bottom by clicking the grid icon at the top (5).
Finally, if you want to know more about the creator of the map you are viewing, you can access their user profile by clicking on their profile picture or name at the bottom right of the screen. You'll see information such as their first and last name, bio, and social media profiles.
