1. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern access to and use of traveledmap.com and the TraveledMap services, including the creation, customisation, storage, sharing and embedding of maps, trips, itineraries and related content.
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Poster purchases are also governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale presented during checkout. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.
2. Service provider
The service is provided by TraveledMap, a French single-member limited liability company (EURL) with share capital of €5,000, registered under SIREN 130 061 385 and SIRET 130 061 385 00014, with its registered office at 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris, France. Contact: contact@traveledmap.com.
3. Account and access
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login details and for activity carried out through your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be legally capable of accepting these terms. A minor may use the service only with the authorisation and supervision required by applicable law. Accounts may not be sold, transferred or made available to another person without our prior agreement.
4. Acceptable use
You must use TraveledMap lawfully and in a way that does not harm the service, other users or third parties.
- Do not publish unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, hateful, defamatory, sexually exploitative or privacy-infringing content.
- Do not upload content or data that you do not have the right to use, including content that infringes intellectual-property, image or personal-data rights.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, access another account, introduce malicious code, scrape the service at scale, overload the infrastructure or reverse engineer protected parts of the service.
- Do not use the service to impersonate another person, mislead users, send unsolicited communications or facilitate illegal activity.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the maps, text, photos, routes and other content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use and share that content and that its use does not infringe the rights of others.
You grant TraveledMap a worldwide, non-exclusive licence, for the time needed to provide the service, to host, reproduce, process, adapt to technical formats, display and transmit your content solely to operate the features you request. Public or shared content may be viewed by people who receive the link or access the page according to your settings.
You are responsible for keeping your own copy of important content. Account deletion may permanently remove content after any legally required or operational retention period.
6. TraveledMap intellectual property
The service, software, interface, brand, logos, designs, templates and TraveledMap content are protected by intellectual-property law. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
Except where a feature expressly permits it, you may not copy, resell, redistribute or commercially exploit protected elements of the service without prior written permission. In particular, poster designs, previews and generated files may not be copied, downloaded, reused or shared with a third party for printing outside TraveledMap.
7. Paid services and third-party services
Prices, billing periods, included features and renewal or cancellation conditions for paid digital services are shown before purchase and form part of the applicable offer. Poster orders are governed by the separate Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Some functions rely on third-party services such as mapping, hosting, authentication, payment, printing or delivery providers. Their availability and separate terms may apply to your direct use of their services.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security incidents, technical constraints or third-party failures may temporarily affect access.
We may improve, modify or discontinue features. When a material change adversely affects a paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and respect applicable contractual and consumer rights.
9. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using the service and delete your account from your profile. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with the law, or address a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
Except in urgent or legally restricted cases, we will seek to give notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach. Termination does not affect rights and obligations that must survive by their nature.
10. Responsibility
Each party is responsible for the consequences of its own acts and omissions. TraveledMap is not responsible for content supplied by users, inaccurate source data, or events outside its reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes statutory guarantees, consumer rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Professional users remain responsible for verifying that their use of maps and content meets their own legal and business requirements.
11. Personal data
Personal data is processed as described in the Legal Notice and Privacy Policy available on TraveledMap. You must not add personal data about another person unless you have a valid legal basis and have provided any required information.
12. Governing law, disputes and contact
These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections under the law of their country of residence. In the event of a dispute, contact us first at contact@traveledmap.com so that we can seek an amicable solution.
Consumer customers may then use, free of charge, the consumer mediator designated by TraveledMap once its contact details are published on the website. Otherwise, disputes may be brought before the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
