Cruise route poster

The premium map keepsake of your cruise itinerary.

Turn your ports, sea route, islands, photos, and favorite moments on board into an elegant custom cruise poster. A visual memory of the journey, designed to keep every stop in sight long after you are back home.

Why this idea

A cruise is made of many places. The map brings them together.

A cruise poster for every port and every stop

A cruise often feels like several trips inside one journey: a departure port, new cities at sunrise, islands, coastlines, days at sea, and the return home. A custom cruise route poster brings all those moments into one clear visual memory, so the itinerary does not disappear into a folder of photos.

A cruise map that makes the itinerary readable

With a cruise route map, the ports and sea itinerary become easy to understand at a glance. The poster can show the departure, each stop, the final port, and the line that connects the whole trip. You can keep it minimal, add photos, or use colors that match the mood of the cruise.

A premium gift after a cruise

A cruise is often a special trip: a honeymoon, a wedding anniversary, a family holiday, a birthday, or a long-awaited escape. That makes a personalized cruise poster a very natural gift. It starts from a real itinerary and turns it into something the person can proudly display.

A travel memory that starts conversations

Once the poster is on the wall, it naturally invites questions: how long did the cruise last, what did you do on board, which island was your favorite, and which stop surprised you most? A cruise map poster lets you show the trip, relive the best ports, and keep the feeling of the journey close throughout the year.

Create your cruise route map poster in 3 minutes

In the video, TraveledMap's founder shows the same creation flow: add the places in order, let TraveledMap draw the map, then personalize the poster. For a cruise, the main idea is simple: enter the ports and stops, check the route, then adapt the style, colors, and photos until the poster feels like your trip.

  • Add the departure port, cruise stops, islands, and arrival port.
  • TraveledMap draws the itinerary; if a sea route is not found, use plane mode for a clean straight line.
  • Customize the title, map style, marker colors, route colors, and format.
  • Add photos from the ship, ports, or favorite moments to make it personal.

Frequently asked questions

Start with the ports and stops that really define the cruise: departure, main islands or cities, and arrival. Between 4 and 10 places usually works well, but it depends on the itinerary. Some people prefer a clean map with only the key stops, while others want every port visible.

Add the cruise ports in the right order and let TraveledMap build the itinerary. It often works better to place stops on the actual cruise cities or ports rather than in the middle of an island: for example Santorini or Heraklion instead of just Crete, Palma instead of Mallorca, or Nassau instead of the Bahamas. Sea routes are not always available between every port. If a maritime route is not found or does not look right, choose the plane transport mode: it draws a clean straight line between stops. This works particularly well for Mediterranean cruises, Greek Islands cruises, Norwegian fjords, Caribbean islands, Alaska cruises, Nile cruises, Danube river cruises, Adriatic cruises, Canary Islands cruises, and routes with MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Costa Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, or Celebrity Cruises.

TraveledMap needs place names that can be found geographically. "small beach after dinner" is too vague; "Santorini", "Port of Barcelona", "Dubrovnik Old Town", or "Nassau" are better examples. Search is contextual, so you usually do not need to add the country every time. If a stop still is not found, you can place it manually during the itinerary validation step with the dedicated button.

Yes, photos can be added to make the cruise poster even more personal: the ship, a favorite port, a sunset, or a family moment on board. This feature is currently available on desktop, but not yet on mobile.

You can create vertical, horizontal, or square posters depending on the shape of your cruise route. We support international A-series formats, such as A4, A3, or A2, as well as more US-oriented print sizes, so the poster can be ordered and printed properly for customers around the world.

If you were on the cruise, you can create the poster from the ports you visited together. If you do not know the full itinerary, ask for the main stops, check the booking summary, or offer the idea first and finalize the map together. We can also prepare gift cards: simply contact us and we will help you offer the poster without needing every trip detail upfront.

You can choose between 6 map backgrounds, then personalize the marker colors, route colors, text colors, labels, title, format, and overall poster style. You can keep the map very minimal or add photos to make the cruise memory more personal.
